Back Pain Above The Waist

The fridge door opened. And a dim light bathes the room dark.
The last man on earth was sitting at the table in the kitchen. He ate a pizza in the dark.
frowned, already wrinkled by time. He was thirsty.
his gaze to the fridge. Something strange was happening in his freezer.
move.
Maybe there was something alive in the fridge. Otherwise, he thought, would have remained stationary.
I wonder if that thing was moving in the fridge was good to eat.
or whether it was she who wanted to eat. A slice of pizza's choked.
In any case, now there were at least two in there. The refrigerator was
now come very close to him. Semi open. And as it moved, it seemed that he was going to do two more steps. In his direction.
tried to think of something else. But he found it difficult.
beers were in the fridge. Thanks to this, at least he avoided getting up to get one. The fridge
move. The bottles rattled, and something fell to the ground.
The man ate the last slice of pizza.
replay the past. Perhaps because there remained little to live.
His thoughts had flown back in time, when he saw a man sitting in Red Square, drinking a coffee. He realized at that moment that the Cold War was over.
But not in the sense that imagined. No one had imagined that a war stops being cold, when reheating.
And now, there was just to tell him.
The fridge took another step. He had put on the table with him. A gurgling, inhuman
left out the door half open. In the kitchen, spread a musty smell.
The man reached out a hand with a gesture dry. Hazardous. And stuck it in the fridge. A long while
a century. The hand encountered something cold. But not surprised. It was still a refrigerator.
He came out unscathed. Close with a beer between his fingers.
was then that the refrigerator door suddenly flew open.
The light struck him in the darkness of the room and almost blinded him. A cheese
multi color now, what was the most closely to life in the cold source of light.
The hope of discovering a sunset. No surprise, surprise was the worst.
Whatever had been, would have broken the dominance of a number.
The last man on earth she felt alone.
's mind was no longer his ally. Sought elsewhere, the company that he did not know her.
Day after day, more and more away, in search of someone or something better than him. Today
a refrigerator. Tomorrow ... who will bring to the table?
She wanted to leave. Like all the others.
The cold of the refrigerator, took possession of him.
He could not afford. He would not let her go. It was his mind. His and hers alone.

In one hand he held a beer, and in the other a gun.
leaned his lips first and the second where he was the one who wanted to leave.
The last man on earth sat in the kitchen with a gun to my head when someone knocked at the door.
He smiled. Yet another trick of his mind buggy?
curiosity was strong. The
grazed his desire that the door there was a woman.
Perhaps it was the woman of his dreams, the one that went to visit him every night, charming, seductive and
... No! Suddenly, the fear of hearing his name took over.
could not be what was taking shape in his mind. It was a joke too great to bear.
If he had said his name was Eva, would suffice as evidence to prove that it was just an attempt of his mind to make fun of him?
The smile of the new Adam, became a sneer.
Living with someone, had long been his only desire. But now, it was becoming a nightmare of the worst. Soon, he would not even been able to distinguish between reality and deception.
had to close the accounts until he was able to do so. The last breath, I would have used to yell at the woman who was holding at gunpoint, that would not have won.
